Can I host my wedding at Penrose House?
Yes! We specialize in "micro-weddings" and intimate events. Our property is the perfect all-in-one venue where you can host an intimate garden ceremony for up to 50 guests and have your entire wedding party stay overnight. You get the luxury of a large-scale wedding with the intimacy and ease of a private estate.
How many guests can sleep here?
The Penrose House can comfortably accommodate up to 28 guests for overnight stays. This makes it ideal for corporate retreats, family reunions, or for housing your entire wedding party so everyone can celebrate together for the whole weekend.
Are you equipped to host South Asian pre-wedding functions like a Sangeet or Mehendi?
Absolutely. We designed our amenities with these exact events in mind. Our spacious, lighted pickleball court is frequently transformed into a stunning Sangeet dance floor, and our expansive grounds are perfect for outdoor tents and festive decor. You can host multiple pre- and post-wedding functions in different beautiful settings, all on the same property.
I’m getting married nearby. Can I still use your house?
Yes, and this is a perfect pairing. We are an ideal luxury accommodation for bridal parties or families of those getting married at nearby venues. You can host your welcome party, a bachelor/bachelorette movie night, or a post-wedding brunch with us, all while giving your closest guests a lavish place to stay just minutes away from venues in North Dallas.

What looks like a $8,000 venue rental often becomes $25,000+ after mandatory catering minimums, bar packages, rentals, and service fees. The Penrose House is specifically designed for intimate celebrations of 35-50 guests. This is our sweet spot—large enough to include everyone who truly matters, small enough to have meaningful conversations with every person.
For overnight stays, we comfortably sleep 28 guests across our 7 bedrooms. Your wedding party and VIP family wake up together, share meals, and create memories beyond just the ceremony. Additional day guests can easily join for the celebration itself.

We're located at 3780 FM3364, Princeton, TX 75407—a private, gated estate that feels like a world away while remaining incredibly accessible:

Our private gated entrance provides ample parking for 20+ vehicles. Most couples find that the majority of their guests are local to DFW, making this the perfect "destination wedding without the destination stress." For out-of-town guests, the drive from DFW Airport is simple and scenic.

We offer maximum flexibility:
Option 1: Our Preferred Catering Partners - curated relationships with exceptional DFW caterers. Breakfast buffet: $25pp, Lunch buffet: $35pp, Dinner buffet: $40pp, Plated dinner: $125pp+
Option 2: Bring Your Own Caterer - any licensed, insured caterer welcome. We provide gourmet kitchen.
Option 3: Self-Catered - for casual celebrations, use our full chef's kitchen. We provide dinnerware for 28+.
Note: Our preferred partners hold TABC licenses for bar service.
Our advice: If you've found your date and fallen in love with The Penrose House, book it. Micro-weddings are trending, and there are only 52 weekends in a year. The best dates move quickly, especially for 2-3 day weekend buyouts.

Safety first, but we want your celebration to be magical.
Candles: Allowed with restrictions. Enclosed candles (lanterns, hurricane vases) are welcome. Open-flame pillar candles must be in stable holders and away from fabric/decor. Taper candles require weighted candelabras. We'll review your candle plan during planning to ensure safety.
Sparklers: Allowed ONLY in designated outdoor areas away from structures and landscaping. Sparkler exits must be coordinated with your planner and our team. We provide fire safety equipment and buckets for spent sparklers.
Fireworks: Not permitted due to fire risk, local regulations, and proximity to neighboring properties. Sparklers are your festive alternative!
Fire Features: Our property includes a fire pit for s'mores and cozy gatherings - a guest favorite!

TABC Compliance: Texas law requires proper licensing for alcohol service. We work within state regulations to ensure your celebration is both fun and legal.
Your Options:
Option 1: Book our preferred catering partners who hold TABC licenses and can provide full bar service with professional bartenders.
Option 2: Bring your own alcohol but hire a TABC-licensed bartending service. We cannot allow self-serve bars or unlicensed service due to liability and state law.
What We Provide: The property features a swim-up pool bar, indoor bar area, and outdoor bar station perfect for your bartending service to use. We provide the beautiful spaces; you provide the licensed service.

The Penrose Advantage: Unlike outdoor-only venues, we offer luxury indoor accommodations and multiple backup options. Your guests are already staying on property, so logistics are simple if weather requires a plan shift.
Our Recommendation: Always have a weather decision timeline (usually 24-48 hours before). We'll help you create a backup plan during planning, so there's no day-of stress.
